Reviving a Timeless Classic
At Apex Upholstery, we believe in the power of restoration and the stories each piece of furniture can tell. One of our recent projects brought this philosophy to life. A set of furniture that had already been reupholstered twice came to us for a modern update, with the goal of preserving its timeless appeal while adding contemporary touches.
Balancing Tradition with Modernity
Our skilled upholstery technicians reimagined the diamond tufting, achieving a perfect balance between tradition and contemporary aesthetics. The result is a stunning blend that ensures this cherished piece remains a family favorite for decades to come. Crafted from high-quality Italian genuine leather in a rich brown hue, the sofa and chair offer a combination of elegance, durability, and a smooth, soft feel.
Durability Meets Comfort
Understanding the importance of longevity, especially in a household with a playful Great Dane named Buttercup, we replaced all the foam with high-density, high-resiliency foam. We also meticulously re-decked the entire structure to enhance comfort and support. These changes ensure the furniture not only looks good but also stands up to daily use.
Personal Touches and Old-World Charm
To add a touch of old-world charm, antique-looking brass tacks were applied by hand, one by one, around the borders. This intricate detail enhances the character of the set, giving it a unique and distinguished look. A special aspect of this restoration journey was our client’s involvement. She wanted to refinish the wood components herself, adding a personal touch that reflects her commitment to preserving family history and contributing to the piece’s renewal.
At Apex Upholstery, we take pride in blending craftsmanship with personalization, ensuring each project tells a unique story. Whether you’re looking to restore a beloved heirloom or create a new piece with a personal touch, we’re here to help.
